Walter Mazzarri will remain as Napoli boss for the 2013-14 season, former Azzurri tactician Renzo Ulivieri believes.
Mazzarri has indicated that he may take a year out of the game once this campaign comes to an end.
However, Ulivieri, the President of the Italian Coaches’ Association, doubts that the 51-year-old will quit.
“I don’t think he has made his mind up yet about what to do next season,” Ulivieri, hired by Napoli in 1998-99, told Radio CRC.
“However, I do believe that he wants to stay as Napoli. As a result, I expect him to remain with them for at least one more season.”
Mazzarri joined Napoli in October 2009 after Roberto Donadoni was sacked. A former boss at Livorno, Reggina and Sampdoria, he’s never been sacked during his coaching career.
Mazzarri acted as an assistant to Ulivieri at both Bologna and Napoli.
