Marco Donadel is happy to stay and fight for his place at Napoli, his representative has confirmed.
The 29-year-old was being paired with an exit given that he has played in just three Serie A games and six Europa League ties this season.
“At the moment, there is no desire to leave Napoli,” Claudio Pasqualin told Radio Goal. “However, anything can happen in football and we’ll see how the market evolves.”
The central midfielder joined the Azzurri in the summer of 2011 on a free transfer after his contract at Fiorentina expired.
The former Milan, Lecce, Parma and Sampdoria player had an injury-plagued first season which saw him feature in just one game.
He is tied to Naples outfit until June 2015.
