Genoa have officially signed Mattia Cassani from Fiorentina on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
The defender had been linked to numerous clubs [12] during the January transfer window, including Palermo, Inter and Sampdoria.
“Genoa Cfc announce that a deal has been concluded with Acf Fiorentina for the temporary acquisition, with option to make the move permanent, of defender Mattia Cassani,” read a statement.
The 29-year-old has appeared in only eight Serie A games this season, including four starts, after failing to break into Vincenzo Montella’s team.
