Delio Rossi takes on the post-Zdenek Zeman Roma tomorrow and warns “this is a crossroads for Sampdoria.”
The Blucerchiati have been revived since Rossi took over from Ciro Ferrara and the Giallorossi are hoping for a similar turnaround after dropping Zeman for Aurelio Andreazzoli this week.
“This is a crossroads for us,” insisted Rossi in his Press conference. “We are coming off some good performances and, if we continue like this, we’ll get close to our target.
“However, if we do not face this game with the right spirit, then it becomes very dangerous and our season will take an ugly turn.”
Mauro Icardi picked up an injury in training, but is ready to play, while Maxi Lopez has fully recovered after a long lay-off.
“Could they play together? Absolutely, as long as they are both in good shape. Maxi is feeling much better and his knee is holding up, but he still needs match fitness.”
