Francesco Totti has defended Roma teammate Pablo Daniel Osvaldo after the missed penalty debacle on Sunday.
The Argentine-born Italian international took the ball and placed it on the spot in the defeat at Sampdoria, despite the fact that Totti is the club’s penalty taker. Osvaldo subsequently failed to score.
“I was initially left a little…” the No 10 told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “However, we clarified everything in the changing room.
“I have a good relationship with Daniel and I’m saddened that the fans have turned on him.”
