The Cagliari President was brought in by authorities on Thursday after they looked into alleged attempts of embezzlement and fraudulent misrepresentation [12].

But the Isolani chief's legal representative has insisted that he is innocent.

“He is very calm and confident,” Benedetto Ballero said today. “Massimo is at ease because he has always acted correctly.

“We hope everything will be resolved for the good of Cagliari.”
