Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has revealed that confidence has returned to the dressing room after their 1-0 win over Juventus on Saturday.
A pile-driver from Francesco Totti gave the capital club a hard-fought win at Stadio Olimpico.
And the Dutch shot-stopper has insisted that the win will spur the team on to better things.
“It was nice to win against Juventus,” he told De Telegraf. “I saved a free-kick from Pirlo that I was pleased with.
“It felt like one of those games where nothing was going to get past me.
“There have been some difficult times, but we can get over them. Everything is now returning to normal after the win.
“Confidence is certainly growing.”
