Sampdoria are set to tighten their grip on Delio Rossi after the tactician turned around their campaign.
The Coach was hired by the struggling port club in December when they decided to show former Juventus and Under-21 boss Ciro Ferrara the door.
Sampdoria, under Rossi, have collected 12 points from eight games – including wins over Juventus and Roma.
The 53-year-old was only handed a deal until June when he arrived at the club, an agreement that included an option for an extra season.
However, according to stories on Tuesday, Rossi will put pen to paper on a contract until June 2015 with Doria.
Newly promoted Samp are currently 12th in Serie A, eight points above the relegation zone.
