Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis assures there is “no rush” to discuss Walter Mazzarri’s contract until the end of the season.
The Coach has repeatedly refused to confirm or deny whether he will walk away from the Stadio San Paolo when his deal expires in June.
“Mazzarri’s contract was due to expire two years ago and again that time we only sat down to discuss it at the end of the season,” De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia.
“That’s what we will do this time as well. Right now his contraction is all on the squad and it would be unwise to distract him. There is no rush.”
Napoli are out of the Coppa Italia and the Europa League, but the President is content with their performance.
“The ball is round, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but we are second in Serie A and that doesn’t seem bad.”
Because of their European commitments, Napoli’s Serie A Week 26 game against Udinese will be played on Monday evening. Click here for a match preview.
