Massimiliano Allegri insists Milan “were never in crisis,” though he still wasn't happy with a 4-0 triumph.
“When a side like Milan plays two draws in a row, it sparks controversy and immediately people start talking about a ‘crisis' to bolster the chasing pack,” moaned the Coach.
“We were never in crisis and that was an exaggeration. We played well in the last two games, so all we were missing was the result.”
That certainly arrived in today's 4-0 thrashing of Parma at San Siro, where Antonio Cassano finally broke his duck.
“I think that up until we scored the second goal, it was a good performance. Then we slowed down the tempo too much and no longer tried to really hurt our opponents.
“It is a mistake to settle down too quickly and in the past we have paid for this attitude. Thankfully, Robinho's introduction resolved it, but we have to finish off games earlier.”
Robinho came off the bench to bag a brace in quick succession, both from Cassano assists.
