Capocannoniere Edinson Cavani scored his 20th goal of the season to defeat Roma, but insists “Napoli are not thinking about the Scudetto.”
The Partenopei consolidated second place with tonight's 2-0 victory at the Olimpico, their first win here since 1993.
“It is a sign that the team is united and wants to challenge for something important,” the Uruguayan told Sky Sport Italia.
“We work day after day to prepare for these games and deserved the victory this evening.
“As for the Scudetto, we are not thinking about that. We're very happy carrying on as we are and must continue along this path.”
Cavani had a special dedication and explained his curious golf mime celebration.
“The golf reference was to thank a friend of mine who had given me a present. I dedicate these goals to my mother, as it is her birthday today.”
