Juventus striker Nicklas Bendtner has been arrested in Copenhagen for DUI and driving the wrong way up a main road. “I take full responsibility.”
The Danish international is currently out injured until the end of the month, so was back in his homeland over the weekend.
According to Danish website bt.dk, Bendtner was arrested last night around 2am after driving the wrong way up the Strand in Copenhagen.
It seems he also failed a breath test after going out with an old friend to each sushi and visit a sports bar, according to his advisor Jesper Lynghus.
“Dear friends, I was booked for a mild case of drink-driving last night,” wrote Bendtner on Twitter.
“It was a quiet night, but I am very very sorry to all my friends and fans. It is not ok to drink and drive. I take full responsibility.”
Bendtner is on loan at Juventus and expected to return to Arsenal at the end of the season, as he is yet to score a goal.
