Inter celebrate their 105th birthday today and it’s reported they are trying to tempt Leonardo back from PSG as director general.
The club was founded on March 9 1908 as an off-shoot from Milan once the Rossoneri banned foreign players.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, President Massimo Moratti is in regular contact with Paris-Saint Germain director Leonardo.
It would be a return to San Siro for the Brazilian, who was a player, talent scout and then Coach for Milan.
Leo replaced Rafa Benitez as Inter tactician in December 2010, winning the Coppa Italia, but left in July because he was far happier working as a director than a Coach.
That summer he took the job at PSG and, claim the Italian media today, is being tempted back to Inter for a job behind a desk.
“Leonardo will remain here, as I have a good rapport with him,” assured Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“Everything is going well and his work is great. Carlo Ancelotti could remain next year too.”
