Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes Milan's pedigree in Europe will stand the club in good stead when they face Tottenham at San Siro on Tuesday.
Milan are looking to win the Champions League for the first time since 2007.
They have struggled in recent years to overcome English opposition, losing to Arsenal and Manchester United.
"Milan's experience in Europe is a big advantage. Many players who have won the Champions League play here. This can help and also calms the team.
"Tomorrow is very important, even if we play on two levels: the first leg and the second leg.
"Tottenham are a great team. They are showing it in the Premier League. They are growing as a team and gaining a lot after making important investments.
"It will not be easy for us. I find that Tottenham are on the same level as Arsenal.
"I always try and score goals and help the team. The important thing is to win, not that I score goals.
"Tomorrow we must be careful not to concede goals. We must be careful both in the first leg and the second leg."
