As expected Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi and Roma full-back Aleandro Rosi have received three-match bans for spitting at each other.
Both players were tried by television after the referee missed the incident during Saturday evening's clash at the Stadio Olimpico.
A yellow card had been given to Lavezzi and Rosi for the melee that followed.
It's a big blow for Napoli who aren't exactly flush with options up front.
Lavezzi will miss the club's upcoming matches against Catania, Milan and Brescia.
