Marco Di Vaio thinks former Bologna teammate Alessandro Diamanti has the ability to play for an Italian giant.
The Azzurri international is being linked with the likes of Inter and the Montreal Impact striker believes the 29-year-old would be a success at the very highest level.
“With his quality, he has everything needed to make the difference for a big club,” the 36-year-old told Tuttosport.
“He has one of the best left foots in the Division, he works really hard and there are few players as unpredictable as him.
“He’s a hard-working fantasista. He would be perfect in the second striker role, like Sebastian Giovinco, or as a midfielder.”
Diamanti, whose Bologna side face Juventus on Saturday, has scored seven goals in 26 League games this season.
