Ezequiel Lavezzi admits even he is stunned by Napoli's continuous improvement under Walter Mazzarri.
The Partenopei comfortably dispatched of Parma at the weekend to move into joint fourth place in Serie A.
Interviewed on La Domenica Sportiva, Lavezzi said: "With the passing of the years, Napoli are improving and we hope that we become even stronger.
"We could perhaps be even higher in the table, but playing on two fronts isn't easy.
"We are fighting in Italy and in Europe, trying to give our best. But we have players with a lot of quality in our squad.
"What the team is doing doesn't surprise me. Against Parma the mister decided to rest a few of the lads and make the fresher ones play and we saw that we got a great result.
"It's too soon to talk about objectives. Certainly our desire is to finish as high as possible. But we must only think game by game and give our best every time.
"I am working to improve myself in all aspects, also in terms of goals because in the past I lacked them a little."
