Dino Zoff believes Juventus “are on a par with Bayern Munich” and Lazio can win the Europa League trophy.
The Bianconeri are in the Champions League quarter-finals and will face Bayern Munich on April 2 and 10.
The Aquile will take on Turkish side Fenerbahce on April 4 and 11 in the Europa League.
“I am optimistic for the progress in Europe of the two Italian representatives. They have found their feet in the Champions League and Europa League,” Zoff told TMW.
“Juventus picked Bayern Munich in the draw. They are a big club and a great team, but I don’t think their experience can make the difference in this fixture.
“They are both accustomed to playing at a top level and Juve are on a par with Bayern Munich. As we know, in football anything can happen and we cannot make predictions.”
Lazio are the only side still unbeaten in the Europa League and have been paired with Fenerbahce in the quarter-finals.
“The Biancocelesti have everything it takes to get through to the next round, without necessarily over-looking their Serie A commitments,” continued Zoff.
“I think Lazio can go all the way in this competition. I have faith in Vladimir Petkovic’s side.”
