Sebastian Giovinco has reportedly decided to close his Facebook page after growing tired of being abused and insulted on the social media platform.
The Juventus and Italian international has his critics, including sections of the Bianconero support who have jeered him this term.
Giovinco returned to Turin in the summer, at a cost of €11m, after spending the last two seasons at Parma – firstly on loan and then on a co-ownership.
The No 12 is the club’s joint top scorer this season with 11 goals in all competitions – the same number as Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella.
However, some of his critics argue that he doesn’t score enough decisive or crucial goals for the Old Lady.
