Rolando Maran has committed his future to Catania after the club gave him the chance of Serie A football.
The tactician has been linked with a number of top-flight sides after a sensational campaign at the Massimino following his summer switch from Varese.
“I thank Catania, a club which has allowed me to work well,” the 49-year-old, who replaced Fiorentina-bound Vincenzo Montella, told Ita Sports Press.
“To be paired with the big clubs is very gratifying for me and is the result of the work done by everyone here.
“I, however, intend to keep a tight grip on Catania. My desire is to stay with this club.”
The Sicilian outfit are eighth in the Division, having collected 45 points after 29 games this term.
