Earlier today Alessandro Del Piero's representatives met Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta to discuss the player's contract renewal.
The 36-year-old's existing deal is due to expire at the end of the season, but there is the desire to reach a new agreement.
Del Piero's brother Stefano, who acts as his agent, had the latest of a series of meetings with Marotta to iron out the details.
Reports in the Italian media claim that the exact structure of the contract has yet to be decided.
It's thought that Del Piero will put pen to paper on a new one-year rolling deal, but Marotta would like the player to take a significant pay cut.
Another meeting is scheduled in the coming weeks but there isn't cause for concern among Juventus supporters.
