Former Bari boss Eugenio Fascetti is a big fan of Napoli sensation Lorenzo Insigne. “I’d pick him for every game.”
Insigne returned to parent club Napoli in the summer after loan spells at Cavese, Foggia and Pescara.
Although he has been used widely by tactician Walter Mazzarri this term, he isn’t guaranteed a first team shirt at the San Paolo.
“Insigne would always be a first-team starter with me,” Fascetti, who had a young Antonio Cassano at Bari, stated.
“He’s a massive talent, but he can’t improve as a player if he doesn’t get to play regular football.”
Insigne is an Italian Under-21 international who was handed his one and only full cap in September’s 2-0 win over Malta in Modena.
