Gianluigi Buffon has praised his Juventus teammates ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
The Bianconeri travel to the Allianz Arena for a quarter-final with the Bundesliga leaders on Tuesday.
And the veteran goalkeeper has commended his fellow players, calling the Old Lady back-three 'the best'.
“I work with a great defence that’s often underrated,” he told a Press conference. “They’re the best defensive three I’ve ever played behind.
“Conte has done well to revert to a back three and find the right roles for the defenders to flourish.
“A year and a half ago the club had a great intuition and managed to bring Pirlo to Turin.
“I’ve played with many strong players but Pirlo is one of the few who has that little extra above the rest.”
The 35-year-old also commented on their German opponents.
“The two legs against Bayern will be equally as balanced and could well be decided by individual episodes.
“We’re aware of the fact that we can still improve. But it’s nice to come to Munich and try to play our own game.”
