Delio Rossi insists Sampdoria made life difficult for Inter, but “they were more clinical and scored during our best period of the game.”
The Blucerchiati tested Samir Handanovic several times today in the rescheduled Serie A Week 29 fixture, but lost 2-0 thanks to Rodrigo Palacio goals at the end of each half.
“If you lose, then it certainly means you weren’t attentive enough on the decisive incidents,” sighed Coach Rossi.
“Inter are on a different level to us in terms of quality, but my Samp were always in the game and controlled the tempo well. We just lost momentum in the final third.
“Inter were more clinical and scored during our best period of the game. That is the difference between big teams and normal ones.
“We created scoring opportunities and played well in fits and starts, but were a little too frenetic in our finishing.”
