Inter are testing out Tommaso Rocchi with Antonio Cassano, as Rodrigo Palacio’s injury forces a complete reshuffle against Atalanta.
The Nerazzurri have been heavily reliant on Palacio recently, as he has scored their last five Serie A goals.
However, the Argentine picked up a thigh strain during the 2-0 win at Sampdoria this week and reports suggest he’ll be out for up to a month.
Andrea Stramaccioni tested out the new partnership of Cassano and Rocchi in today’s training session, as Inter face Atalanta on Sunday with very few options available.
There was some good news, though, as Yuto Nagatomo returned to training with the whole group after his knee ligament injury.
La Gazzetta dello Sport points out Palacio’s injury is the 14th of the season after Ricky Alvarez, Cristian Chivu, Luca Castellazzi, Samir Handanovic, Diego Milito, Gaby Mudingayi, Joel Obi, Nagatomo, Walter Samuel, Andrea Ranocchia, Matias Silvestre, Dejan Stankovic and Alvaro Pereira.
