Mario Balotelli considered abandoning Milan’s game at Fiorentina because of racist abuse, claims the Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian international reportedly pondered walking off the field of play at the weekend after being targeted by some fans at the Artemio Franchi.
Milan’s friendly with Pro Patria at the start of the year was suspended after Kevin Prince Boateng refused to play on after he was subjected to racist jeers.
Balotelli remained on the field of play for the whole 90 minutes as his side let a two-goal advantage slip in a 2-2 draw.
The January signing from Manchester City was yesterday handed a three-match ban  following his booking at the weekend and after verbally abusing an official.
Milan have confirmed they will be appealing the judgement.
