The agent of Stephan El Shaarawy has revealed that Napoli tried to sign the Milan forward in January.
The Italy international's representative has admitted that the Partenopei made an offer during the winter transfer window, but the Rossoneri outright refused to sell the youngster.
“There was an offer in January,” Roberto La Florio told Radio Kiss Kiss. “But Milan did not want to give him up.”
The agent also commented on El Shaarawy's poor performance in front of goal since the arrival of Mario Balotelli.
“You are mistaken if you connect that with the arrival of Balotelli. Stephan's performances have still been at a high level.”
