M’Baye Niang won’t be too concerned if he again fails to find the target for Milan in the game against Napoli this weekend.
The 18-year-old joined the Diavolo in the summer from Caen, but he has yet to score in his 15 League appearances for the giants.
“If I play, I hope I’ll score,” he told Milan Channel.
“If I score against Napoli then that’ll be great, but the important thing is to help the team. The goals will come after that.”
Sunday’s tie is a must-win for the Rossoneri seeing as they are currently third in the standings, four points behind the Azzurri.
“We hope to play a good game against Napoli to put the Fiorentina result behind us,” he said after they only drew 2-2 in Florence after going 2-0 up. “We can’t make those mistakes again.”
Forward Niang is expected to play seeing as Mario Balotelli is suspended for the San Siro showdown.
