Inter defender Walter Samuel has conceded that the Nerazzurri have not been consistent enough this season.
The San Siro side are currently sixth in Serie A having won 15, but lost 11, of their 31 games so far.
And the Argentine centre-back has admitted that the team need to improve if they are to fight for third place.
“We have not been consistent enough,” he told Inter Channel. “We should have collected more points.
“We've lost some games this season that we should have won easily.
“We do not feel sorry for ourselves. It will be hard to get third, but we will play for it.
“We have some difficult games, but all the teams fighting for third have tough fixtures.”
