Italy boss Cesare Prandelli is convinced that financial restraints should not limit the progress of Italian sides in European club competitions.
Serie A has no outfits left fighting for the Champions League and Europa League following the exits of Juventus and Lazio at the quarter-final stages last week.
“We have to work hard,” Prandelli stated. “When there is no money to spend then you have to have ideas.
“The results have shown that we need to roll up our sleeves and work hard, especially when it comes to intensity.
“The intensity of the game in Europe is not the same as the one we see in Italy. We have to work harder in that area, even in training.”
