Fiorentina are looking into extending the contract of boss Vincenzo Montella, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former Sampdoria and Roma striker joined the Viola in the summer after his impressive campaign on the Catania bench.
Montella, who also briefly bossed Roma, put pen to paper on a contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until 2014.
That agreement included an option for an extra season, but the club haven’t activated it because they want him to stay for even longer.
The Gazzetta suggests that club officials are hoping to offer him fresh terms in Tuscany until 2016 or even 2017.
