Inter have confirmed that they will take part in the Guinness International Champions Cup, an American summer tournament that will also include Juventus and Real Madrid.
“It’ll take place in time for the start of the season,” Inter director general Marco Fassone noted.
“It’ll be an enthralling challenge given that we’ll be playing against the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, LA Galaxy and others…
“I expect to see real games, not friendly matches.
“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase our brand in America. We have two objectives at the moment – USA and Asia.”
The tournament will start on July 27, with the Final scheduled for August 7 at the Sun Life Stadium in South Florida. The names of the five other European teams involved have yet to be finalised.
