Cagliari are furious after Inter won with an offside goal last night. “We were playing with 11 men against 12.”
The Nerazzurri secured a 1-0 victory when Andrea Ranocchia redirected a Houssine Kharja strike, but replays show he was in an offside position.
Coach Roberto Donadoni insisted there was no point going over these incidents, but his players did not agree.
“The officials were against us from the first to the last minute and it's a pity to have lost to a goal that was offside,” slammed midfielder Davide Biondini.
“We were playing with 11 men against 12. It should also be said that on the free kick taken quickly for the goal, the referee had said he'd blow the whistle first.”
Goalkeeper Michael Agazzi also complained at the incidents at San Siro.
“We played a great game and there is a lot of anger about what happened,” said the shot-stopper.
“Football is decided by incidents and I hope in the next match they'll go our way, unlike this weekend.”
