Chievo legend Sergio Pellissier had surgery on his ankle today and will be out of action for three months.
The 34-year-old damaged ligaments in his left knee during training on Friday and there were fears he’d miss the start of next season.
However, Pellissier went under the knife today and Chievo released a statement confirming he will have his leg in plaster for a month.
The recovery time from this injury is believed to be approximately three months.
