Antonio Di Natale expects Udinese strike partner Luis Muriel to have a very big future.
“Muriel is an attacker who has the qualities of Alexis Sanchez,” Di Natale, who played alongside the now Barcelona player, told Sky Sport Italia.
“The difference is that he actually scores more goals than Sanchez. In a few years Luis will become a great champion.”
The Colombian, still only 22, has scored eight goals in 18 Serie A games this term which has seen him paired with outfits such as Milan and Juventus.
The latter made a bid to sign Di Natale in the summer of 2010, but the club captain opted to remain at the Stadio Friuli.
“I’ve never had any regrets about turning down Juve,” he added. “Udine is my home and we’ve managed to secure some important results for the fans and the city.
“With this shirt I have managed to play in the Champions League and at a World Cup. I’ll finish my career in the Udinese jersey.”
The 35-year-old, 18 goals in 29 Serie A ties this term, joined Udinese in 2004 from Empoli.
