Reports in the Spanish Press this afternoon have suggested that Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa could take charge of Napoli next season.
Walter Mazzarri’s future at Stadio San Paolo has been the source of constant speculation for the past few months, with even his assistant coach admitting that a decision has yet to be made.
And AS have claimed today that the Argentine tactician could take over from the Italian come next term.
Bielsa has already confirmed he will leave the Basque club this summer, with most reports insisting that he will return to his home country.
However, the Madrid-based newspaper has reported that President Aurelio De Laurentiis is a fan of the 57-year-old’s style of football, and could bring him to Naples during pre-season.
