Mateo Kovacic is delighted to be at a club like Inter despite the Beneamata’s problems in 2012-13.
“I’m very happy to be here, Inter are a great outfit and it is a pleasure to play here,” the 19-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
The Croatian international joined the San Siro giants in January for an initial €11m from Dinamo Zagreb.
“We’re playing badly at the moment, but I hope that the situation will change next season thanks to the arrival of some good players,” he continued.
“I knew that I could play football, but I hope to get even better.”
Kovacic, who has appeared in 12 League games since his arrival, was also asked for his thoughts on the future of boss Andrea Stramaccioni.
“That’s not up to me to decide,” he replied.
Inter, who have lost 15 times this season in the top flight, have failed to qualify for European competition next term.
