Sampdoria don’t know whether Serie B hotshot Simone Zaza will be playing his football at Marassi next season.
Zaza has netted 18 League goals in the Second Division this term during a loan spell at Ascoli, but it is unclear whether he will stay at Doria when he returns this summer.
The 21-year-old is only contracted to Samp until June 2014 and talks regarding a renewal have stalled. As a result, Doria may sell rather than risk losing him on a Bosman next year.
“He has an expiring contract so his situation is complicated,” Sampdoria director general Carlo Osti told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I don’t know what his future will be right now.
“If there is interest in him then we’ll see what to do, but we only want players at Sampdoria who want to wear the shirt.”
