It really is a bad season for Juventus, as their youth team crashed out of the prestigious Viareggio Tournament in the first round.
The Bianconeri were among the top candidates to win the trophy, but couldn't even make it past the group phase.
In fact, their 4-2 defeat to Varese means their final group game is irrelevant.
“One point from two games means we deserve to go out,” confessed Coach Giovanni Bucaro.
“There are no alibis, not for the elimination or today's defeat.”
It is particularly galling considering some of the players, such as Niccolo Giannetti and Vincenzo Camilleri, have made appearances for the senior squad this season.
