Catania have been perhaps the success story of the season, but today they parted company with general manager Sergio Gasparin.
It was a surprise move for the club that finished eighth in the Serie A table with a new club record points tally.
“We announce that after a meeting today between President Antonino Pulvirenti and general manager Sergio Gasparin, it was decided to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
“Mutual respect and appreciation is expressed for the great work performed in this sporting season and over the course of this professional rapport.”
