Adriano Galliani opened the door for Clarence Seedorf to take over at Milan. “I don’t think experience is necessary for a Coach.”
The Vice-President had until now been putting all his support behind Massimiliano Allegri , but today’s comments on Sky Sport Italia suggest he is open to a newcomer.
“I don’t think experience is necessary for a Coach,” said Galliani. “It can happen for someone to skip a few rungs on the ladder and gain good results. Just look at Vincenzo Montella.
“There is no specific link between being a good player and a good Coach, as they are completely different jobs.”
There are new reports that Seedorf – who is still playing at Botafogo in Brazil – signed a pre-contract agreement with Milan five months ago.
Meanwhile, another option is Frank Rijkaard, who has experience both as a player at Milan and a Coach with Barcelona.
“It could well be, but as things stand the only thing linking him with the Rossoneri bench is a rumour,” agent Perry Overeem told MilanNews.it.
“Nobody from Milan has called us. As for the future, never say never, but at the moment Frank is happy to stay and watch for a year.”
