“Italy and Holland are the strongest teams in the tournament,” said Israel Coach Guy Luzon ahead of tonight’s Under-21 clash.
The Azzurrini are leading Group A with a victory over England, while Israel drew 2-2 with Norway in the European Championships.
Italy take on Israel in Tel Aviv this evening at 19.30 UK time (18.30 GMT).
“I know for sure we will play better football than against Norway,” said Luzon in his Press conference.
“Italy and Holland are the strongest teams in the tournament. They dominated the game with England.
“The Azzurrini are strong and quick, but we will try to fight them to the very end, without transforming our system.
“I particularly fear Marco Verratti, Lorenzo Insigne and Fabio Borini.”
Marwan Kabha is out of action due to a stomach problem, but Nir Biton is available again.
Israel only managed a 2-2 draw against 10-man Norway, earning criticism from the local media.
“I do not read the newspapers or the Internet,” insisted their Coach. “We earned our first point in a European competition, so I’d consider that an historic achievement.”
