Cesare Prandelli was glad Mario Balotelli apologised, but warned “he has to understand he’ll always be provoked and mustn’t lose his calm.”
The striker was sent off during last night’s 0-0 World Cup qualifier in the Czech Republic and reacted angrily, both by punching the plexiglass wall of the dugout and ranting against critics on Twitter.
“In all honesty, I preferred today’s tweet,” commented Italy Coach Prandelli to the ANSA news agency.
“Over the next few days we will also have the opportunity to discuss how players should use Twitter.
“Mario has to understand that, like all great players, he will always be provoked and mustn’t lose his calm.”
