Lorenzo Insigne avoided a fracture and should be available for the European Championship semi-final.
The Italy and Napoli starlet was stretchered off in tears during the first half of tonight’s 4-0 win over Israel.
He was taken to a local hospital amid fears of a fracture caused by Eyal Golasa’s clumsy tackle.
The initial reports filtering through suggest X-Rays ruled out a fracture and this was confirmed by a statement from Napoli.
“Tests on Insigne revealed bruising to the left shin. He will probably miss the next game, but be available for the semi-finals.”
Italy have already qualified for the semi-finals, but lost Luca Marrone for the rest of the tournament to a strained hamstring.
