Fabrizio Miccoli plans to continue playing football for the next two years after his Palermo contract expired.
The almost 34-year-old is thought to have played his last game for the Rosanero following their relegation from Serie A.
“I’m looking for a two-year contract,” the former Italian international told Stop TV in an interview to be aired on Wednesday.
“I want to play for two more seasons and then I’ll quit because I will no longer have the desire or physical condition to continue.”
Miccoli was born in Lecce and he’s openly admitted in the past that he’d love the chance to play for his hometown club.
“A move to Lecce? That will only be possible if they win the play-offs and return to Serie B,” continued the forward.
Miccoli has a playing past with the likes of Perugia, Juventus, Fiorentina and Benfica.
