Catania are reportedly still pushing to try and take Slovenian midfielder Jasmin Kurtic off the books at Palermo, but they face competition.
It is seen today in Italy that the Rossazzurri have restarted tentative negotiations with their relegated Sicilians neighbours to try and take the 24-year-old this summer.
Interest believed to be dating back to last January’s transfer window, Catania are said to now face competition from Pescara and Torino for the international attacking midfielder.
However, it is understood that Palermo will not make a decision on any offers for Kurtic until imminent new Coach Gennaro Gattuso has assessed him.
