Dejan Stankovic has admitted Inter struggled to break down Sampdoria. "They parked a Boeing 777 in front of their goal."
The Nerazzurri eventually sealed a 2-0 win at Marassi last night, but only after struggling Doria frustrated them with a 3-5-1-1 that left them with little space.
"It was as if they parked a Boeing 777 or a ship in front of their goal," he jokingly told Inter Channel.
"Sampdoria created a couple of chances, but we never gave up.
"In the end it was a battle against time for us to score but then the goals arrived," added the midfielder.
"The side, with patience, responded well from the first minute until the last on a very heavy pitch. We came away with a great victory."
Inter moved to within just two points of leaders Milan and one point clear of Napoli before the two sides meet at San Siro tonight.
"Whatever happens we would have gained points on somebody," concluded the former Lazio idol.
