Eugenio Corini says he is ready to take charge of a top-flight club mid-season should the opportunity present itself.
The former midfielder is out of work after he left Chievo Verona at the end of the past campaign despite keeping them in the top flight.
“An agreement couldn’t be found between Chievo and myself to remain,” the ex club captain told Sky Sport Italia.
“I’ve now decided to wait for another opportunity in Serie A. We’ll have to see if anything comes my way once the season has started.
“I’ll evaluate any eventual offers over the next few months.”
The 42-year-old’s coaching career is limited to brief spells with Portogruaro, Crotone, Frosinone and the Flying Donkeys.
