Arsenal have not yet wrapped up a deal for Juventus-target Gonzalo Higuain, an agent close to Real Madrid has claimed.
Ernesto Bronzetti has been acting as an intermediary on behalf of the Italian champions for the available Argentina international.
The Bianconeri are understood to have spoken to Real and the striker about a possible summer swoop.
However, reports in England over the last few days are suggesting that Arsenal are in pole position for the 25-year-old.
“Will Higuain go to Arsenal? I’m not aware of that,” Bronzetti told TMW. “Real Madrid still need to define their coaching situation and that could be Carlo Ancelotti.
“Up until then nothing is for certain. All I can say with regard to Higuain is that there are five or six clubs chasing him, not just Juventus and Arsenal.”
Juve are hoping to get the player for about €22m. Real, though, have insisted it will take over €30m to sign the South American.
