Bayern Munich insist Fiorentina-target Mario Gomez will begin pre-season training with the Bundesliga giants.
The German international is expected to leave the European champions this summer, but no deal has yet been done.
“Gomez belongs to us,” new Coach Pep Guardiola said at his official presentation on Monday. “He is a Bayern player right now and I’ll treat him like one.”
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge added: “He will be present at the club’s first training session of the season.”
It’s believed the Viola can’t make an offer for the 27-year-old forward until they have been able to sell Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegro international, wanted by Juventus amongst others, is valued at €30m by the Viola.
